Working with Aarti Kelshikar as my intercultural coach the past year has been enriching.

As someone who recently moved to a new country for work, I faced significant challenges in adjusting to the new cultural environment. Aarti’s understanding of cultural dynamics helped me develop some practical strategies to be more effective. She created a safe and open space for discussion and encouraged me to push my boundaries.

I also liked reading Aarti‘s book How India Works as it is enjoyable to read but insightful at the same time, allowing people to better understand the corporate culture in India. Aarti’s expertise and empathy make her an ideal partner to work with in one’s intercultural journey.

Aarti has a rare talent for crafting captivating narratives and immersive experiences in her articulation.

Her insightful observations and thorough research provide a fresh perspective that challenges conventional views and invites deep reflection.

Therefore, whether her books are “How India Works” or “How Women Work”, they are both engaging and thought-provoking, drawing readers into practical and real-life examples that relate to cultural nuances.

I found myself completely absorbed from beginning to end and eagerly anticipate her next book.

I met Aarti nearly 20 years ago in Manila and it has been wonderful to see her challenge herself and grow over the years. We all know Aarti as a successful author but what continues to impress me is her spirit, passion for knowledge, and love of connecting with people from different cultures. I’ve had the joy of witnessing this multiple times as she explored new ideas in the Philippines, Singapore and now India.

Aarti is thoughtful, focused and open-minded with a clear commitment to teaching and helping others understand different cultures. I’ve enjoyed our interactions. Not only is she a talented writer but also brings a depth and perspective to team dynamics and organisational development in cross-cultural environments that is hugely valuable. I look forward to seeing her continued growth and success as she embarks on this journey.

For the past few years, I have worked closely with Aarti as a board-member of SIETAR Southeast Asia and I have seen how passionate and knowledgeable she is about culture and diversity.

She has an excellent understanding of cultural dynamics in international business, which she leverages in helping her clients gain insights and develop strategies to address the challenges they face. Over the years, Aarti has honed her knowledge, skills and perspectives to provide value to those she works with.

Attending the accreditation workshop I ran for The International Profiler (TIP®) assessment tool, I found her to be curious, eager to explore new approaches and learn new skills, and with a wealth of relevant international experience to draw on to support her coaching and facilitation work.

India is like the Big Bang in someone’s face with it’s colors and sounds! Indian business culture is no different: it is very complicated for a stranger but it’s fascinating too. Her book “How India Works” was an eye-opener and a guiding light for me when I was dealing with my clients and business partners from India. It is a very insightful and funny read, an amazing product of the research that Aarti Kelshikar did in order to write this business masterpiece.
